Two possibilities struck me. Antal is a Hungarian form of Anthony and ANtel may be another variation. Click here--> Anthony for more info. Or it may be related to Anatolius <--click here. Hope that helps. Good Luck!

If Antel is a form of Antal, it must have altered outside Hungary - here I've never seen it.
