what does it mean?

My father named me Nivian. I am female born in 1965. He said he just made it up.... I was born in NJ, USA. parents and grandparents were born in Cuba. I have never ran across anybody else with my name, can you help?

that is not truean invented name can have a meaning if it coincidentally existed before

Well, if your father just made it up it doesn't have a meaning, he invented a name that he found nice, that's it.
