Germanic and Slavic names (Middle Ages)
Hi!
I have met several interesting Germanic or Slavic root names, and wondered how old they are!
There is Duobra / Dobra, said to be from Czech dobra "good".
There is also Golda and Golta from "gold".
They seem quite old to me, but I cannot find more precise data.Thank you!

E.Förstemann (Altdeutsches Namenbuch, vol. I, München, Reprint of the second edition 1966, col. 663f.) lists a number of names containing the element GOLTHA (gold): Coldbirig (10th cent.), Goldburg, Goldrun (10th cent.) etc. He also has Golda (f., 11th cent.) and Goldo (m.).
