Re: Shibin (male)
I suppose this name has its origin to the Sanskrit word "Shiven" which means "by Shiva." I have heard this name in a couple of new Hindi films. "Shibin" or "Shiben" might be its corrupted pronunciation.Besides the way Bengalis pronounce Dhirendra as Dhiren, Narendra as Naren, Vinay as Binoy etc. it could be a "form" of Shivendra as well.I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me.

I was actually wondering whether it is related to the Sanskrit word shibi/shivi of uncertain etymology, but used as a name from the Rgvedic period to the classical Sanskrit period. In particular, it was the name of a king who decided to give his body as equivalent flesh to protect a dove who asked shelter from a hawk who demanded the king had no right to take away his food. The problem is that the Keralite Chrstians choose their names from a wide variety of sources, and the name might not even be of Sanskrit origin.
