Can anyone give me the meaning and origin of the Chaisson. This is my grandmothers maiden name and we are considering it as a middle name for our next baby if its a boy. Do you think it would be okay as a middl name.

My french is kinda rusty, so this is a long shot: Chaisson could be soem diminutive of "chaise" (chair).
