Well, I really like Maria and Ellen and Stephanie.
How about Grace Ellen? I always thought this would be pretty. Both names are short enough that you could call her by both of them and that way you'd both get sounds you'd like.
How about Carly as a nn for Scarlett, or even better, as a full name? Carly Grace? I think Carly has a less tryndee vibe than Scarlett, even though Carly is pretty popular.

Neither of us likes Carly, but I've never thought of that as a NN for Scarlet, so that's pretty cool.
Grace Ellen is cute, but it kind of gives a 'Sue Ellen' vibe. I'll bring that one up though. Thank you!
