I know a girl with a name which I love because it is so unusual: Mystika. I also know a boy named Maverick ( he is a maverick!), and a girl named Lelah (Croatian version of Leila), as well as Aretha (a Greek spin-off). My sister is named Dabney, which I love.

I have noticed people come up with more unusual names for girls than for boys. Take Blue Ivy, for instance. Poor guys! But then, I think girls prefer more imaginative names.
