Re: Max or a longer form nn Max?
in reply to a message by Lily
I am having the exact same problem at the moment! All of the other names on my list are much longer and I feel that Max doesn't quite fit even though I really love it. I thought about using Maxwell but I can't motivate myself to like it either! All the other larger forms I dislike completely.
1) Max works fine on its own in my opinion, it is a name in it's own right in the same way that Leo and Alex are.
2)I'd have to pick Maxwell because it is the only one I ever truly considered.
3)Max! On it's own, nice and simple. From the others than you listed the only one that even slightly appeals to me is Maxen, probably because I did consider Maxon / Maxson at one point. I agree that Maxime is way too close to Maxine to work as a boys name.To conclude, just stick with Max, the way i have gotten around it is that I've paired it with a longer middle name.
