I really like it, especially since it's honoring in a way. I tend to like most names that are similar to Catherine/ Katherine (Caitria, Catherina, etc.) and Catalina has the same feel.

The honoring aspect aside, I do prefer Caterina / Katerina (or, I suppose, Catarina).
