Re: Alternatives?
in reply to a message by MoCro
Some weeks ago I was watching the BBC News and a youngish man was interviewed on Orkney, one of the remote isles of Scotland which has Norse heritage - his surname was something like McLeod and his first name was Thorfinn
I'd never encountered that name before but I find it is a bona fide Norse name and it might make an alternative to Finn if you wanted to take the nordic route!
Still, Finn is so established as a name now I don't think that's necessary.

Ooooh, I actually quite like Thorfinn! Which is weird because I tend to find Finn names rather silly sounding. I bet this young man was named after the Earl of Orkney.
