Naming challenge
What would you name b/g twins if the girl's name had to honour your partner, and the boy's name had to honour you?
Feel free to interpret this however you like, and explanations are always interesting too :)

Just going with initials here:
Pyra Elowen and Emrys North
Other way:

Perrin Ender is my husband's favorite combo of all time lol
I don't have a partner at the moment.
Based on last partner:
Frederica Amedea "Frida" (Frederick) & Artemisios Laurent. There's not a lot you can do with Artemisia.
Middle names are my choice. I can't remember F's mn, if he ever mentioned it, and and I don't think mine have widespread male versions, and either way, ehhhhh... so I chose some random combos.

Micaela and Aldo.
Aldo comes from the same root and has the same meaning as my name (possibly). It's also Italian, and I was born in Italy. Micaela is from his middle name. I picked the Micaela spelling both because I like it and because it's a nice match with Aldo.
I'm stumped on middle names. The easiest thing would be to pick a name from each family tree: Micaela Marilyn, to honor his stepmom, and Aldo Peter, to honor my brother. I could live with that.

Thomas James and Catalina Maria Magdalena...
I'd definitely go with Tamsin for a girl (contracted form of Thomasina), because it's one of my favorite names to begin with. It has the added bonus of being (imo) a quintessentially British name, and he's definitely proud of being from the UK.
A boy's name honoring me is definitely tougher, because I feel like Catherine and Magdalene variants are completely feminine. That leaves me with Marius (sketchily related to Maria), or a name that means black (relating to my surname, "of black" in a Romance language).
So:
Tamsin Hero and Marius Valentine.
Tamsin after Thomas, Hero because he's completing a degree in classics.
Marius after Maria, Valentine after the patron saint of epilepsy (which affects me).

Esther Patricia & Benedict Shai
I honored with our middle names-- I could have easily feminized his name completely (Steven Patrick -> Stephanie Patricia) but my cousin is named Stephanie so I didn't want to do that. My name is completely feminine; there are no related masculine forms at all for either my first or middle, but the first part of my middle name is an unrelated name, so I used that. If I just wanted to relate with sound, I could have used Shane, but I actually like Shai, so...
And, because I wasn't sure what first names to use, I picked the boy's name from his family tree (his great grandfather) and the girl's name from mine (my great grandmother, as well as a second great aunt). So both kids honor both families.
