Re: names on my mind

I wish I could talk Alexander into Nathan, I really dig it. I can see what you mean about Soren being gothy, it does have that feeling to it.
We would actually call Katarina Kat. :-D Kit-Kat, knowing me. I've finally put my foot down to the no-nickname rule. When were talking about names I found Thomas / Miriam / Margaret so cold and I realized it was because I was used to nicknames. So Thomas will be Tom / Tommy, Margaret will be Meg and Miriam will occasionally be Mim. I'd prefer Miri, unfortunately that is a little close to my niece's name. (Mira.)

Who made the 'no-nickname' rule? You guys can call your kid whatever you want.
ETA: Obviously this isn't my call, but I'm hoping you go with Miriam/Mim over Margaret/Meg. I think it's because it would be the third BtN baby named Margaret, and WE NEED SOMETHING NEW**. ;)
**No offense to the other members, it's just that namenerds like reading/hearing about different BA's, ya know?

X isn't fond of nicknames. And I'm pretty sure we're going with Miriam. I'm not sure how often it's user Mim, though. I find it kinda of silly.
What about Miri? I know it's very close to Mira, but I think it's cute.
