My name is Kathryn Jean, and I like both names.Both are family names;Kathryn is for my father's favourite sister(he had several).Jean is my mother's middle name.
I have always gone by Jean, my parents'choice, as we lived close to the aunt mentioned, and it would hav been confusing to have two Kathryn Lastnames.
