Sounds you like - Sounds you hate
What are some sounds you like and sounds you don't like in names?For me:
I like BR, L, N, R, S, M, ND, Long A, Short E, and Short I.I dislike hard G, P, German CH, English CH, Short u, U as in Put, OI as in point, ow as in flower.

I seem to be weak to the letters D, R, L, K, A, and I and some names containing three or more.
I also noted that I don't dislike many sounds... I stay away from the -den sound though.

I love:Beginnings: M esp. M_r, Dr, R (but not "Rye"), Sh, long vowels AY EYE EE OO, V, K, J
Middles: dr, oo, R, tch, ks, st, m, rl
Endings: n, k, l, r_l, er, z, th as in think, oo, nI dislike the sounds:Anywhere: NO, UBB, UHV, YOE, DL, BL, stops like the T in Caitlin, LOW, SHY, K'N, OYuh, AYSH, FEL / FUL, AB
Beginnings: long O, Gah like Gavin, Grah, Huh, Hyoo, Ha as in have, Br, Vuh/Vaw, Th, N, Y, May
Middles: paired S and F sounds like s_ph or st_s (Persephone, Eustace), B next to other consonants
Endings: va, ton, per, pee, -p, ach, us, um, own/oan, ina/eena

I love long Os in a name and Rs and Ss as well. I also like long As in English names. I like Vs in girls names, but mostly combined with an O.I dislike CH. I dislike male names with only 'soft-sounding' vowels. I dislike most name starting with a B and then a vowel (except Os). Short E, I and A sounds where there are no other long vowel sounds in the name.
