Amelia- I like the bookish vibe of this name, and I prefer this spelling over Emilia, which has a very different vibe.
Annika- I've never really liked it. Something about the combination of the sounds.
Arwen- I think it's quite beautiful, and as a Lord of the Rings fan I might consider it myself. But I probably wouldn't use it because what if my kid isn't a fan? They'll have to hear about it for life. If I really wanted Arwen, I'd probably choose Anwen instead. Though I'd imagine at least around here, people would mistake her for an Arwen. Dilemma.
Camilla- I like it a lot more than Camille. It's kind of sweet.
Carys- I'm not a huge fan of harder sounds in names, so while I think this has potential, it's not for me.
Eleanor / Elinor- I adore Eleanor. Elinor is not as nice, in my opinion.
Emilia- This is more delicate princess than bookish.
Emma- I do like Emma, even though it's extremely popular. I work at a daycare, and this is one of the most common names I come across. Still, it's a beautiful classic.
Enya- I think it's too associated with the singer.
Fiona- Very nice. It has grown on me a lot over the past several years.
Hanna / Hannah- I think Hannah's perfectly nice, and I prefer it to Hanna mainly because it's a palindrome, which makes it a tad more fun.
Johanna- I think this one is also very nice. It's a bit more interesting than Hannah because it's less expected.

Amelia - I prefer Emilia, but I like Amelia too.
Annika - Nice.
Arwen - Pretty, but it
Camilla - I like Camille and Camila (ka-MEE-la), but Camilla (ka-MIL-a) doesn't appeal to me.
Carys - I don't care for it.
Eleanor / Elinor - I like both spellings, but I prefer Elinor with Julian.
Emilia - This sounds great with Julian.
Emma - Very popular, but it's easy to spell and pronounce. It also sounds nice with Julian.
Enya - I automatically think of the singer, which isn't a bad thing per se, but I don't think it really goes with Julian.
Fiona - Pretty. Fiona Sophie has too many repetitive sounds, though.
Hanna / Hannah - Overused, but it's a sweet name that I have liked for as long as I can remember. I prefer Hannah over Hanna. It looks more balanced.
Johanna - It's a decent name. I don't love it, but I don't dislike it.
Lena - I like it, and it sounds great with Julian.
Leonie - Nice. Leonie Sophie doesn't flow well, but something like Leonie Maeve would work.
Lilith - Nice.
Linnea - Pretty.
Maeve - Lovely.

My vote goes to:

Noa I like them and think they all work well with Sophie as a middle name, are pronounceable in English and German and aren't super popular.

I really like Lena too but a lot of people try to tell me its boring and bland but
it just has a special spot in my heart.
And I like that it's not super popular too :)

Amelia - it's a good choice, however it's quite popular now, at least in the US
Annika - Not a fan. This was a common name in my parents generation, so I can't really see it on a kid
Arwen - No way. LOTR and too obvious
Camilla - My mom's name. Don't like it though and I can't picture it on a kid either
Carys - I don't really have any feeling about this name. Neutral.
Eleanor / Elinor - I only like Eleanor which I think its a fantastic name and it goes great with Julian
Emilia - It's very common here in Sweden, but I think it's a sweet and quite nice name. Doesn't sound as good with Julian as Eleanor though
Emma - ZzzZZZzzZzzz
Enya - I had it on my PNL but I could never really love it. It's too tired with the singer
Fiona - As in Shrek's wife? I used to like it, but now that's all I can think of
Hanna / Hannah - My aunt changed her name to Hanna a few years ago, but I prefer the Hannah spelling. It's an okay name, a bit boring though
Johanna - Very common in my own age group. Gives me pretty much the same ZzzZzz feeling as Emma
Lena - Oh boy. I've had several teaches with this name and every single one has been at least 10 years older than my parents. When I hear Lena, I picture a chubby woman with gray hair, and that's it.
Leonie - It's okay. Prefer Leah though, or Leonora, Leona. What about Leonora / Leonor with Leonie as the nickname?

Hello!
Thank you for your input. Leonie was my longtime fave (even before I got preggers) but now I don't like the flow of Leonie Sophie. Maybe a different MN!?
I also like Amelia, Emilia and Maeve a lot lately.
Thanks for pointing out about Fiona. I totally forgot about that. I don't think it will make it in the next round lol.
In Germany Noah is used for boys and Noa on girls. But like you said since Noah is so popular right now I might not be a good idea to use on a girl.
Thank you

The only one of these that doesn't flow well with Sophie as the mn is Leonie so I'm going to judge the rest of them based off how well they go with older brother Julian Dominic and based on what my personal tastes are. Also I think I've mentioned this before, Julian Dominic is a great combo. These are all the names that make the final cut after I remove the ones I dislike, I only removed a handful. First I'm ordering these in order of best to worst matches and goes well with Julian Dominic. Then the second list of them will be best to worst which ones I just personally like.Emilia
Amelia
Annika
Camilla
Carys
Nora
Maya
Fiona
Maeve
Eleanor / Elinor
Nova
Lena
Linnea
Noa
Arwen
Johanna
EnyaFiona
Eleanor / Elinor
Annika
Maeve
Nova
Emilia
Amelia
Arwen
Carys
Nora
Noa
Enya
Lena
Maya
Camilla
Linnea
JohannaSo in the end if my child was named Julian Dominic I'd probably choose either Emilia, Amelia, Annika, Carys, Nora, Fiona, Maeve, Eleanor / Elinor, or Nova.

At the moment im more into Emilia, Amelia and Maeve :) Leonie is still on top of all of them but I noticed also that Leonie Sophie doesn't flow well...
Do you have any suggestions for a different MN?
