LeekThe leek was given to March 1st in honor of St. David, the patron saint of Wales. In Wales, March 1st is a holiday (St. David's Day), and people traditionally wear a leek on that day (same as some folks wear a shamrock on St. Patrick's day in Ireland)."Charlotte Leek" = "Cherokee T. Tall"-- Nanaea

I live in Swansea which is the second largest city in Wales, after Cardiff. So kind of close to Cardiff.:)

I have a special fondness for Wales. :) I've trekked through Snowdonia National Park and will never forget the wild beauty of the place.-- Nanaea

If you can put up with the showers of light rain you get here in Swansea, it's a nice place to live. [more]I gather that it rains often here because we are near the sea.

Nanaea, fair enough airing your comments AT Norah's forum but there is no need to bring it over here unless you are aware of the actual truth. Please go and read my post at Norah's forum. - http://members2.boardhost.com/haggisbutt/msg/17425.html .. Thank
