I'm sure someone has asked this before, but where does the name Beyoncé come from? It looks like "fake French" to me.

I do know that Beyonce's mother's maiden name is "Beyince" and changed the spelling & pronounciation to give to her daughter.

I don't know if that helps, but it's a start. =]
