Alpha Male Name: Alexander
Alexander is always the bad boy, bossy, arrogant & cocky, always handsome and you want to punch him in his tanned face guy. Alexander is always rescuing the damsel in distress, and she's always melting his icy heart.Alexander has become the standard for the romantic, dashing alpha male lead.I'd pair Alexander with Serena or Rosemary, possibly Sophie.Agree or disagree?

My Alexander is pudgy, balding and a self-described nerd. His siblins are Elizabeth, Damian, Katherine, Mary, Anthony, and Christopher.

Well one of my older brothers is Alexander, and he's nothing like that, so I disagree. As 'queenv' has said, Alexander has been so perennially popular for well, forever really, that you cannot apply a 'one size fits all' image to it.

I agree, except for damsel always melting his icy heart bit. Interestingly, for me the image of this name stays consistent through different life phases. The child Alexander is spoiled royalty with uncanny ability to manipulate. He grows up into older versions of this later in life. Now Alex has a completely different image. I find it funny that the only Alexanders I know IRL go by Alex, so my image of Alexander is untouched by those acquaintances. Xander is another story altogether.

Honestly, Alexander has been so popular that it doesn't have any particular image for me. That would be like saying John has a particular image.

I feel the same way. I know so many Alexanders it doesn't have a very clear impression anymore, although the majority of Alexander's I have known are the type who tell a lot of jokes and might be the class clown. That is the only slight impression I have but as I said it is so common that I can imagine any sort of Alexander.Xander on the other hand has a more clear impression to me. Well it has two things I associate it with, edgy popular boys that are kind of similar to what you are describing, or sarcastic unpopular/ nerdy guys because of the character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
