All consonants are pronounced the way they are in English. Ü is said as u in French (as in "lune"). The E is not silent, it is pronounced as in "bed".

Almost, but not ü is not pronounced as oo in "soon". As English doesn't have a sound like French u (or German ü, as in "über"), I think this is the best approach.
