Cade -- meaning
My son wants to name his new born son "CADE" He is under the impression that it is Welch and means "warrior".
My resarch indicates that it might mean "round" or "pure"
Does anyone have any further insight into this?

My sources say Cade is a form of Cadell, a Welsh name meaning small battle or battler (warrior).
I also found the similar name Kade, a Scottish name meaning wetlands.

Well, Reaney and Wilson (English Surnames) say..Cade - a barrel-maker
or
Cade - a stout lumpish person (prob. same as 'round').
or
Cade - farm animal abandoned by its mother and brought up as a pet.Your choice.
