Here's one I bet NO ONE has heard...
I work with a girl named: "Kirith". That's "Keer-ith". I think it is such a pretty name!!! She is Jewish but I don't think the name is. I've asked her about it before but I forget if it even has a meaning. Her second/middle name is: "Alethia". "Al-ee-thee-ah". Nice eh??? I think they're really neat names.

I think we did this one sometime back. I believe "Kirith" is a spelling variant of "Kerith", which is the name of a brook and ravine near Jerusalem where the prophet Elijah refreshed himself. The questioner in that original thread had cited "Kerith" as being used for a first name.Hope that helps,- Da.

I think "Kirith" may be a hippy name. A quick 'net search revealed a phenomenal amount of invented-name Kiriths in fantasy literature.-- Nanaea
