kee-AHN-ah is how I'd heard it pronounced, but

I came across an article stating it was kai-ANN-uh (as in Kiana, Alaska). According to that same article, Kiana means "a place where three rivers meet,” at least, it seems, for the Kobuk River Kowagmiut Inupiat Eskimos (see link below).http://www.dced.state.ak.us/dca/commdb/CF_BLOCK.cfm?Comm_Boro_Name=Kiana&Data_Type=OverviewHope this helps.
