Re: Sidelle (Meaning/Origin)
in reply to a message by Andi
Strange... "el" probably means "God" in my opinion, like Nathaniel is God's gift... But maybe not, like Rachel...
Prince in Hebrew can be Sar, Nasi... Look here for words meaning "prince" in Hebrew: http://beta.studylight.org/enc/isb/view.cgi?number=T7090
I would really like to know more about it if someone know!
Sidelle reminds me of a feminine form of Sidney. This website seems to agree with me: http://www.aussiethings.com.au/babynames/sgirl.htmOoooh, look here! http://www.behindthename.com/bb/arcview.php?id=32702&board=gen

I say: SIDELLE is not Hebrew and definetely does not mean "princess" in Hebrew. SIDNEY sounds a lot more reasonable to me.Andy ;—)
