I used to work with a woman named Dwana pronounced DWAH-nah (sometimes sounds like duh-WAH-nah). She's Caucasian/Anglo-Saxon, American as well. I'm not sure if she's from Texas, but I know she lived there at one time. I don't know anything about the origin of the name, though, sorry. :-/
