Are you French? In all my French classes, we always
(with different instructors) pronounced it like the o in pom-pom. Photobucket - Video and Image HostingI wanna go to the crappy town where I'm a hero.

I'm not techincally French, but in Ontario you take French from Grade 1 (about age six) until Grade 9 (about 14), and my grandmother's first language is French (and she tends to speak to me in French rather than English). It's how I've always heard and said it, but I'm bad with spelling things phonetically. Saying it as in 'pom-pom' sounds VERY anglicized to me. I can use a proper French accent, and in the accent it sounds more like the 'o' in poem, but not stressed as much. Does 'pom-pom' rhyme with Mom? Because that's how I'm saying it.
