Just wondering...
Why is Sol considered a feminine name when in spanish the sun is refered to as masculine (el sol)? At least i think that's right...if it's not, sorry.

Maybe because it can be short for Soledad and Marisol?
It's also the Swedish word for sun, but pr. like in Danish, "sool".

yes, el sol is masculine in Spanish, so i don't understand it either.

I don't know, but I guess I'd concider it to be feminine. Click on Sol and you'll get the reason why I think that. It's just Sol alone. And Sol is the Danish word for 'sun' btw. - Charlie
