Jessa
My daughter is named Jessa. She was named after
her grandfather. He went by Jess because he felt
the name Jessa was a girl's name. Can you tell
me where the name came from,it's meaning, and whether
it was meant for male or female? We are caucasion and
born in the USA. So was her grandfather. No one seems
to know anything about the name in our family.thank you

A feminine form of Jesse, or a contracted form of Jessica. Possibly even a form of Jessamine.Miranda
