I asked about Llewellyn a few months ago and I would guess this name is pronounced closely. Llewllyn is pronounced Lewel(rhymes with Jewel)-lyn so Llewella should be "lewel-la".-Seda*

In Welsh, the "ll" is a kind of "ch" sound, something like the Scottish word "loch"

Like the arabic "kh" ?

Not sure about the Arabic 'kh', but it seems likely to be similar.Actually, my understanding was that the double-L in Welsh was pronounced like 'chl', with the 'ch' being the sound from 'loch'. Supposedly, mis-hearing of this pronunciation is what created the name 'Floyd' from the original 'Lloyd'.To answer the original question, I think most English-speaking people would say 'loo-ella', but a Welsh person might say 'chloo-echla'.

Welsh LLOk I get it.
In fact, in order to pronounce the welsh "ll", you have to try to pronounce a "h" and a "l" simultaneously. So it rather sounds like a scottish "ch".
