1) I don't know. I guess I've never really thought about it but I'm sure I do... It sounds like something I'd do.
2) Back when I was in school gay used to be a word we used for
everything in a negative way. "You're wearing that dress to prom? Ugh, that's gay?" "You're busy this weekend? So gaayy!" I'm not sure whether this is because we were just teenagers and we used slang terms left right and centre - I think it probably was. But originally gay meant happy, so it has changed because now it definitely does not mean happy at all. I think words change meaning all the time, especially in the younger generation - my sister's 13 and sometimes I have no idea what she's talking about - the same way our mum doesn't understand the conversations we have.
