1. I haven't noticed if I mimic facial expressions. I think most of us do some of that naturally though. If someone frowns generally we're not going to give a big toothy smile.

2. I think "gay" has a couple of meanings - the original happy and then homosexual. Regarding using it to describe something weak or lame, I hear a lot of heterosexual butch guys use it like that. I had no idea it was still big, having not hung out with butch guys for years, if really ever. I find it really childish and stupid and shows more about the butch men than anyone they refer to as gay.

I think that the original meaning of words matters. But even if three people agree X word means Y, all three people still might have different ideas of what that word really means. Words are slippery even if meanings didn't change like they do.
