The dog biscuit I tasted was supposed to be bacon and cheese flavor, I think, but truly I couldn't taste even a smidgen of either. I don't know why they bother flavoring the things anyway, since as you say a dog will eat anything. They'll even drink out of the toilet bowl.
My mother has some biscuits for her dog that are made with salmon and sweet potato. They carry a pretty strong smell so I assume they'd have some taste to them, but I'm past the age of wanting to try them, and anyway, the smell is very off-putting.
