Don't major in philosophy though! Philosophy majors do it because they like life, and then they think they have to stay somehow in the field of philosophy forever, to learn more about life... but actually they just get caught up in academia and its spider web of scholastic obligations. The philosophy produced by school-trained philosophers is not the philosophy of real life, but the philosophy of philosophy school. The arts and sciences will open up doors for you in the realm of real experience, and allow your philosophy (which will happen anyway, I mean no one has ever NOT been a philosopher who had the proclivity to be one) to be more expansive, relevant, creative.
