2. I read somewhere that its offensive to ask people who don't want kids why they don't want kids? Would you find that offensive?
Not really, but I think after a while they might feel they had to 'defend' their non-default point of view. So I can completely understand that they might not want to be asked that question, so I personally think it would be more polite not to ask than to ask.
3. Do you think that people in general feel way too entitled to things?
Most definitely. I used to work with people on welfare and a quite some of the ones I came to deal with had this problem. (not all by far!) especially bothersome to me were the ones between 18 and 25. A lot really didn't seem to grasp the whole effort & reward thing. I could go on and on with this, because I've seen so many situations up close that I could use as example, but I don't think this is the place for it :P
For entertainment purposes, I'll give one quote of a +/- 20 year old guy on welfare: "I'm not gonna work! What if those girls see me working?!" *facepalm*
