1. Today I found a book that I had just added to my list of things to read in Oxfam. It's called The Owl Killers by Karen Maitland. I have no idea if I'll like it but I wanted to read something different and I've heard good things about it. I also just met up with a couple of the people from my Nano write-ins and started writing something new which is good.
2. The Stranger's Child by Alan Hollinghurst. It's very well written but very slow. I read another of his books The Line Of Beauty which was very good. The TV adaptation of it (starring Dan Stevens from Downton Abbey) was excellent.
3.Hmm. I should say my birthday but right now that is proving difficult to organise. Sigh. So I'm not sure.
