Rather a toss-up between Strider/Telcontar/Wingfoot/Elessar/Longshanks/Dúnadan/etc./etc./Aragorn and Halt O'Carrick from Ranger's Apprentice. Yes, they're both guys, but there are so rarely female rangers who are totally awesome like those two. So I'd pick one of those, and as I'd be perfectly happy with either one, I do not feel the need to decide. :)
