1. What is your mood today?
very good

2. Is there anything in particular that made you feel this way?
my kids got to read a real literary essay for their homework, and we got to discuss it in class, and I swear a surge of happiness just shot right through. The discussions were so great, and I'm so glad I'm allowed to move away from teaching rhetoric a bit and these kids actually get to do some thinking and talking about important things. If this is what it's going to be like teaching literature, I'm going to FREAKING LOVE IT.

But if that wasn't enough, I did a 40 minute presentation today that I was so nervous I thought I was going to throw up and then faint, but it went really well. My professor was nodding her head the whole time, especially during the bits I put the most of my own thoughts into, and that was really heartening. So yay!

3. Do you think you will feel any different tomorrow?
I'm sure. If this excitement lasted, it'd be kind of like... mania. I've got nothing but an hour meeting tomorrow, so I want to do as much reading as possible. I have SO MUCH READING. Ridiculous, impossible amounts of reading.
