Comments for ACE:
Ace Ventura was a pet detective in a series of movies starring Jim Carrey as Ace. This character was a bit gone, if I do say.-- rubberduckiiz2 1/4/2006
Ace Enders is the lead singer in the band The Early November.-- Anonymous User 3/5/2006
Ace Young is a finalist on the fifth season of American Idol.-- Anonymous User 3/11/2006
This could be a nickname for Ignace, IMO.-- Mithos514 3/21/2006
Ace is an adorable name, it reminds me of southern gentlemen for some reason.-- Anonymous User 3/25/2006
Puma D. Ace is the older brother of Monkey D. Luffy, the main character of the famous Japanese animation "One Piece" (by Eiichiro Oda).-- Master_Kirby 7/10/2006
This is my dog's name and in my opinion, it shouldn't be used on a real kid.-- Anonymous User 7/26/2006
This could be a nickname for Asa.-- Anonymous User 8/5/2006
Ace sounds like a name suited for a cowboy or rodeo rider.-- Missy 2/25/2007
I don't like Ace as a given name but it is a great nickname. It fits my friend very well. His real name Edwin doesn't really suit.-- YMPvt 3/4/2007
I like this more as a nickname. I knew a kid once named Anthony and we called him Ace.-- Anonymous User 5/2/2007
One of the Seventh Doctor's companions was nicknamed Ace.-- Solaitaire 1/1/2008
I believe that Queen, King and Jack are all names, so there are a cool "pack" of names for your kids!-- Anonymous User 1/21/2008
To me, it sounds like the self-imposed nickname of a rather obnoxious and arrogant frat boy who thinks he's God's gift to women and the coolest person in the world. The name sounds quite infantile, and only works on young guys. Imagine this name on a 50-year-old guy who has really let himself go. I bet you find the thought amusing.-- slight night shiver 5/14/2008
Yuck. I can't believe this cracked the top 1000! I can't imagine a human with this "name"! It also brings to mind someone with a superiority complex.-- bananarama 8/6/2008
It'd be cute on a dog, but I can't see why anyone would give this as a formal name to a human. A nickname, maybe; but putting 'Ace' on your kid's birth certificate is like putting 'Spike,' 'Fluffy,' or 'Uno,' down.
Hell, might as well go with Fifi, if Ace ever gets a sibling.-- paintwolf 9/25/2008
Sounds dangerously close to the word "ass," wouldn't you say?-- GunsnRoses8794 11/18/2008
Really infantile. I can't imagine a grown man going by 'Ace'.-- D.Scott 1/30/2009
Ace Rimmer, the alter-ego of the character Arnold Rimmer in the TV series Red-Dwarf. Whose personality fits in perfectly with some of the above comments. Also the 'nickname' of the character Arnold Rimmer apart from smeghead.-- Anonymous User 2/18/2009
Good as a dog or a nickname.
As a given name? No.-- -Julia- 7/23/2009
Ace is rather cute for a little boy, though it does seem a bit pompous. I find it hard to imagine a grown, professional man named Ace.-- annajgrace 8/24/2009
