It is pronounced 'a-DEH-rin'.-- Elly747 1/29/2006
My beautiful Green Cheek Conure is named Aderyn. We call her Addie as a nickname. It's a beautiful name and fits her very well.-- knittinghobo 12/17/2006
I LOVE how this name looks! It has nice flow, too. The nickname Addie is definitely cute! But really, I think this name could be used as a boy's name -sort of like Aiden. But I don't Addie would be the best nickname for a boy. Lol.-- Georgia_kh 4/12/2007
It's an absolutely gorgeous name, don't get me wrong. It would be perfect everywhere except Wales. There's a really nice girl at my Welsh school called Aderyn, and she gets teased something awful about her name - people call her "Big Bird" and "Bird Brain". Petty, I know, but she says it hurts.-- DontDissMadison 5/18/2007
I hate the name on a girl. I Love it on guys!-- applemilk 8/22/2007
I adore Aderyn, nickname Addie. I especially adore it paired with Sofia. Aderyn Sofia.-- scarlett_katherine 11/20/2007
My friend's name is Aederyn and it is pronounced ee-der-in, rather than a-der-in. She gets called Aedie for short, ee-dee.-- Miss-Rory 2/23/2008
I absolutely love this name! Even the meaning is nice: a bird is a beautiful, delicate creature. I cannot see it used for a boy at all as someone else on here said; that would be so cruel. This is a completely feminine name and it should stay that way.-- Arieanne 7/18/2008
This is my little sister's middle name. We chose it because our father is Welsh. I think it sounds very cute, as a first name or a middle name! We pronounce it "ah-DEH-rin" or "uh-DEH-rin".-- Sophannagh 11/10/2008
I like this name, mainly because of its meaning. It's different and sweet, but I would pronounce it 'ad-ER-in' because of where I'm from.-- magicalhannah7 1/17/2009
