I know it's a boy's name, but when it's pronounced, it sounds like Alexi (aka, a girl's name). Although one of the boy's in my class had this name. I guess the name is ok, but it just sounds feminine. Not that I'd ever give it to a daughter of mine.

Sorry, but Alexey is not pronounced like Alexi. It is pronounced ah-lyek-SYAY or ah-leek-SYAY.
