Prefer Alivia to Olivia, but I wouldn't use it due to the fact that is a variant and she would always have her name spelled as Olivia.

Not only is it a disgusting misspelling, but it sounds like a disease. "Doctor, I have a severe case of Alivia!"

It looks pretty, but it sounds too much like Olivia. People might think her name really is Olivia, but she spells it Alivia to be different.

I think it'd be alright for a fictional character in, say, a novel, though.

To me it sounds like some an insect name, and the name Olivia isn't that great anyway.
