I love this name! I think it very sad that it's not used by many today. And people who think it's pretentious? Please. It's not. It's a beautiful name, and should be used instead of ultra-common names like Jack or Michael (not like those are bad names).-- Anthroponomastics 5/27/2009
I absolutely love this name. It's handsome, dignified and classic -- I don't find it pompous or too overdone whatsoever. Although, I'm a bit ignorant when it comes to Archibald. What a pity, perhaps I'll get over it one day, I mean the 'bald' part of Archibald I still love it. I just don't think I could use it.-- Anonymous User 5/31/2009
With the nickname 'Archie' for the everyday, Archibald is entirely usable.-- vomiting 10/30/2009
