I really like it. Especially if Cai is used a nickname. It's short, strong and has a really nice sound to it.

I ADORE this name.

I used "Cai/Kai" as a nickname for my baby when I was first pregnant (I had a dream and wrote down the name McCaius). I later miscarried and found twins, but feeling like it was a boy and girl we named the boy James McKaius (K instead of C because it looked less confusing in print). (although I broke one of my rules 1). By making my own name, and 2). Using C and K for the same sound in the same name. So now I'm a hypocrite!)

Many of these Roman names have a very nice sound and can be blended into modern culture quite well, I think.

In New Moon (the 2nd book in the Twilight series) one of the leaders of the Volturi is named Caius.
