I believe this name is pronounced chan-nah-ree, not chan-uh-ree or chan-air-ee.

I once met a girl with this name. When she told me her name, she continued the sentence with "like canary" and I always remembered it. She pronounced it "She-neh-rie." I thought is was a kre8tiv name until I found it here.
