Chiyoko is the given name of the character Chiyoko Fujiwara, a reclusive, retired actress, in "Sennen Joyū", a surreal animated film directed by Satoshi Kon. The meaning of her name, "child of a thousand generations", holds a special significance in the film, as the events of the storyline span a millennium (and beyond) of Japanese history.
