Comments for CLÍODHNA:
Pronounced Klee-na.-- Clodagh 4/9/2007
It's not Kee na. It's cli on a! It means beautiful fairy queen, who drowned, hence it means the wave. That is the reason one of the first Irish nacy ships was the LE Cliodhna. It comes from Cork, Glandore if you want to be technical. There is a wave there called ¨Cliodhna´s Wave¨. I think it's the most beautiful name, and I'm glad my mum stuck to her guns and christened me with it!-- scruffygirl 12/22/2007
