In the anime D.N.Angel, Daiki is the name of Daisuke Niwa's grandfather.

"Big" and "great" are both correct. Kanji can vary. The "ki" part of the name can be "tree" or "honour/respect/worship". Very common name in younger generation of Japanese boys.
