The Amu Darya and Syr Darya are great rivers located in the Middle East (surrounding Uzbekistan and Tajikistan as well as parts of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.) The rivers are mainly used for irrigation and agriculture and empty into the Aral Sea.
