"Dobrogost" surely isn't a Polish name. It is Slavic, but Poland isn't very related anymore to this type of language/history.-- Kicia 1/1/2006
Maybe this name would fly in Eastern Europe, but I would even counsel an immigrant with this name to consider changing it to something "related" but more pleasant to the anglophone ear! Maybe Dobbes? Or Brock? Or Gus? Or go with the meaning, "good guest": Boninvitée (pronounced: boh-neen-vee-tay), in French for example.-- leananshae 12/10/2007
