I hate this as a first name. It's a good enough surname, but it doesn't really sound right as a given name. Kind of pretentious.

I like the name Franklin a lot, perhaps because it's my brother's name, but also from the use the nickname "Frank" can have, yes I am being quite Frank with you.

I don't find it pretentious, but instead dignified. The name has a lot of good history.
