I am very fond of this name obviously. It was considered by my mother for me, as she wanted to honor her uncle, James, but she decided to give me a feminized form of his middle name, Alvin, for my middle name.

Makes me think of Aunt Jamesina in the 'Anne of Green Gables' books who hates her name, and is called Aunt Jimsie.

Very beautiful and elegant, Jamesina is such a lovely name in my opinion. It is much better than Jamie (or Jaime) on a girl (which I abhor).
